Grief and Loss Therapy
Grief does not move in neat, predictable stages. It doesn't care about your responsibilities, what other people think you should be doing, or how many years have passed since your loss. It arrives when it arrives, in sudden waves, in unexpected moments, and in the middle of perfectly ordinary days. Our culture is surprisingly uncomfortable with grief. Society often pressures us to find "closure," move forward, get back to normal, and quickly become "okay" again. But trying to rush through pain only isolates us further.
While grieving is a completely normal response to loss, it can sometimes become complicated, overwhelming, or prolonged.
Grief doesn't always look the way we expect it to. It can be the death of someone you love, or…
A relationship ending
The childhood you never got to have
The body, health, job, or identity you once knew
The future you were certain you were going to have
Our approach
Therapy is not about forcing you to move past your grief faster. It is about learning to move through it, with compassionate support, in a way that ensures you do not feel stuck, stranded, or entirely alone with your pain. You don't have to carry this weight by yourself.
We focus on the whole experience of loss, because grief isn't only emotional. Together, we can address how it lives in the nervous system (grief triggers deep physiological stress, leaving you feeling constantly overwhelmed, exhausted, or on high alert), how it changes how you experience your body, how it reshapes identity and relationships, and how it alters your sense of safety, belonging, and meaning.
